A Fresh New Chapter for the John Muir Hut!

Watchtree Nature Reserve is absolutely delighted to announce the refurbishment of our indoor education space – now newly renamed The Howdens Hut!

Thanks to the generous support of Howdens Kitchens, Wigton, we’ve received a donation of high-quality kitchen units and work surfaces that have transformed the interior of the Hut. This upgrade provides much-needed storage and has created a fresh, functional, and welcoming space for our Education and Wellbeing Team to use in bad weather.

To express our heartfelt gratitude, we’ve proudly installed a Howdens sign on the side of the hut – a small gesture to honour a big impact.
