What a whirlwind start to my new role here at Watchtree! I’ve had a wonderful welcome from everyone in the Education Team and the wider Watchtree community. The first few months have been fantastically busy and the Education Zone has truly come alive – I’ve loved welcoming so many brilliant groups of all ages to the reserve.
We’ve had local school groups exploring the site, linking their classroom learning directly with Watchtree’s incredible wildlife and habitats. I’ve loved welcoming local Brownie and Rainbow groups for evening visits dedicated to wildflowers and nature connection, seeing their enthusiasm first-hand is wonderful!
We are always looking to welcome schools and groups of all ages to the reserve and work to ensure each visit is memorable and impactful, just get in touch with us to make a booking: learning@watchtree.co.uk
We are absolutely over-the-moon to officially launch our monthly Wild Teen Girls Sessions, aimed at girls aged 9–14. Creating a fun, safe space where they can build confidence, try new things, and develop a deeper understanding of their place in nature is something I’m really passionate about. It’s a super lovely way for the girls to meet new friends, and as a bonus, the sessions run on the first Tuesday of each month to coincide with the café opening late!

Watchtree’s popular Summer Kids Club is officially open and available to book now, offering days packed with outdoor fun, games, and nature exploration.
Plus, bookings for our dedicated Watchtree HAF (Holiday Activity and Food) woodland sessions will go live starting Monday 15th June 2026. Spaces for both programs are limited, so be sure to secure your child’s spot early for an unforgettable summer in the wild!
