100mph Challenge

17th and 18th September, 2022
We aim to record 100 miles of running, jogging or walking per hour for 24 hours.

Every participant contributes towards a combined Watchtrail hourly target of 100 miles every hour. So that could be 100 people running or walking 1 mile each or 20 people running or walking 5 miles each.

You DON’T need to be an ultra runner or an ultra walker. We just need people to come and walk or run as many laps as they feel comfortable with. You can come to Watchtree as many times as you want in that 24 hour period to log your laps – you don’t have to do them all in one go. IN FACT,  one of our most popular times for people to come was 10pm in the evening!

In previous events we have seen people on crutches doing a lap, people with dogs walking and running, lots of lovely little toddlers toddling their lap, families walking and running, prams being pushed and wheelchair users coming getting their laps in and getting their fill of the Great Outdoors!

Challenge yourself to achieve a distance or number of laps that is new to you! And help us achieve something amazing together!

If we succeed we will record over 2400 miles! A pretty mighty task but with enough support it’s achievable. The final hour of the event will include our weekly trail run – where we hope as many people as possible will join us for a grand finale.
