Event
With a lifetime spent listening to and sharing the stories of communities around the world, Joe Human brings a powerful and deeply human perspective to the realities of climate change.
Joe has taught humanities in Kenya, Papua New Guinea and England, worked in communications with Oxfam, and spent 15 years campaigning for Fairtrade. Now part of Sustainable Keswick, he continues to use words and images to shine a light on the experiences of people living on the frontline of the climate crisis.
To celebrate Watchtree’s pledge to serve Fairtrade coffee, this talk explores the journey of coffee from crop to cup. Discover where and how coffee is grown, the challenges small scale farmers face as the climate changes, and how Fairtrade cooperatives are helping communities adapt and build resilience.
Through storytelling and striking imagery, Joe will share real life experiences from coffee growing regions, offering insight into how ethical choices here can make a meaningful difference there.
Join us for an inspiring and thought provoking evening connecting climate, community and the coffee in your cup.
