Kick start your health and wellbeing in the New Year with Watchtree’s guided ‘Couch to 5K’ programme!
Based on the NHS’ tried and tested ‘Couch to 5k’ programme, we will run through the exercises with a guide, to help you gradually work up towards running 5km in just 9 weeks in an encouraging, welcoming environment.
It’s free of charge to join – all you need to do is turn up, every Sunday at 9.30am at Watchtree, and our experienced guides will take you through it to ensure you don’t overdo it and incur injuries, lose motivation and give up! All you need is a pair of trainers!
The end goal is to increase your stamina and fitness to the point when you are ready to take part in the Watchtree 5k running event in March 2023. Perhaps we will also see you joining in our 10k run in June! The Watchtree Running Community is very sociable and supportive, and will support you throughout your running journey. Why not also enjoy a coffee in the Watchtree cafe after your training session?!
