Nature ramble at Watchtree

A Late Summer Ramble with Belinda Lloyd

Join Belinda Lloyd, our Habitats & Estates Team Leader, for a relaxed and immersive stroll through the beautiful, changing landscapes of Watchtree. Late summer is a bustling time on the reserve, and this guided walk is the perfect opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and appreciate the finer details of our local wildlife.

Together, we’ll explore our vibrant wildflower meadows, woodlands, and wildlife hides. From identifying late-blooming flowers and towering trees to spotting resident birds and fascinating invertebrates, we’ll be enjoying whatever wonderful wildlife crosses our path.

The Details:

  • Distance: Approx. 2 miles.
  • Accessibility: This walk takes place entirely on our surfaced paths and is fully accessible to all.
  • What to bring: If you have them, please bring along a wildflower guide, binoculars, and a hand lens to help you get a closer look at the intricate details.
  • What to wear: This is a fully outdoor event, so please check the forecast and dress comfortably for the Cumbrian weather!

Important: Please note that dogs are not permitted on this specific guided walk (to give us the best chance of spotting wildlife!)
