Watchtree Bat walk

Step into the shadows at Watchtree Nature Reserve for an unforgettable evening exploring the secret world of local bats! Led by expert guides Vic and Sam from The Cumberland Bat Group, this twilight walk takes you into nocturnal habitats to observe these fascinating creatures as dusk falls.

What to Expect

• Track & Detect: Use ultrasonic bat detectors to hear echolocation in real time.
• Observe the Hunt: Visit prime roosting and foraging spots across the reserve.
• Watch the Emergence: Weather permitting, witness bats taking flight at dusk as they emerge to hunt.

• Age Requirement: Suitable for ages 5+ (Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult).
• Dog Policy: Please leave your four-legged friends at home, as dogs are not permitted on this walk.
