*Picnic areas – we have a number of designated picnic areas around the reserve (café seating is for café patrons only)
*Dogs – Must be on a lead at all times; this protects many animals that rely on our habitats to survive. Watchtree is a safe green space for people with fear of dogs, and dogs that have been rescued. Additionally, we have farm animals that graze on our fields, to avoid cattle &sheep worrying issues we must be vigilant.
Our Watchtree Café, located in the visitor centre, is open daily and offers delicious homemade snacks, cakes, and lunches made from locally sourced ingredients. We also have a variety of beverages and amazing cakes and desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.

If you have any questions about allergens, have no fear – our menu is regularly assessed, ensuring we stay current with changes in legislation. We provide a detailed breakdown of each dish for allergens; please ask a member of our team and they will be happy to help with your query.
If you are part of a large group (with advanced notice) we can provide a private space and alternative catering packages to meet your requirements. We cater for birthday parties, meetings and other special events.

Three Hills Gelato is based on the edge of the Lake District in Torpenhow. Their gelato is made using traditional Italian recipes and the finest local ingredients.
In partnership with the Torpenhow Cheese Company, Three Hills Gelato is committed to supporting local businesses and sourcing the freshest ingredients from the surrounding area. That’s why they are proud to say that their milk and cream is 100% organic and sourced from pasture-fed cows right on their very own farm. By using organic milk and cream, they can ensure that their gelato is not only delicious, but also free from any harmful chemicals or additives.
They offer a wide range of flavors, from classic favorites like chocolate and vanilla to more unique combinations like blueberry lemonade, honeycomb or salted caramel and pistachio.
