Holiday Activity and Food Programme Summer Kids Club

There are 8 funded spaces available per session, bookable on a first come first serve basis.
There are also 8 standard spaces per session to buy on a first come first serve basis.
Our Forest School and outdoor education sessions are designed to encourage curiosity and creativity, providing 5 -12 year olds with a day of fun-filled activities outside on our Nature Reserve.
Our Education team will spend the day leading fun, food and nutrition based educational activities at Watchtree: ·
- · We will be in the forest all day being physically active through running, walking, climbing etc and we will offer cycle hire where there is availability within our on-site cycle hire facility.
- We will teach them skills such as foraging and have conversations about food groups and healthy eating, food miles and food waste.
- Engaging outdoor education: from foraging and flora and fauna identification to conserving green spaces.
Cycle hire included where there is availability from the Wheelers cycle fleet.
Lunch will be provided by our onsite cafe. Hot chocolate and water will be provided.
The club is for children aged between 5 – 12 years old.
Meet the kids club leader in the portacabin from 9.50 am.

FAQs
Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
The club is for children aged between 5 – 12 years old.
Do we stay with our child?
No. We are OFSTED registered, so you drop your child off and pick them up at 4pm.
Do we need to send our children with a lunch?
No, our Holiday Activity and Food Programme Easter Kids Club sessions will focus on cooking together as a group and eating what we make for our lunch! If you want to pack extra snacks, you can do, but please ensure it is nut free.
What do I NEED to bring to the event?
- A drink in a water bottle.
- Dress in weather appropriate clothing, hats, gloves, outdoor wear/clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (long sleeves and trousers)
- Please pack spare clothing in a plastic bag.
- Boots or wellies and waterproofs must be packed
- Sun cream – please check the ingredients of the sun cream that you use, as some brands use nut oils as an ingredient. We have some children that have severe allergies, so we would be grateful if you could ensure that you do not apply sun creams containing nut oils to your child before attending Kids Club
- Sun hat
Any emergency medication (Inhalers, Epipen) – please notify the team at drop off Please do NOT send your child with mobile phones or any items of value. We cannot be held responsible for anything that they may lose whilst with us.
