Step into Spring with the Watchtree Charity Walk 2025

Posted March 13, 2025 by Senga Grave

Inclusive Community Walk at Watchtree Nature Reserve – Wednesday, 30th April 2025

Watchtree Nature Reserve invites the community to take part in its second annual Watchtree Charity Walk, an accessible and family-friendly event offering two scenic routes:

  • 1-Mile Trail – A relaxed walk, ideal for families and those seeking a gentler pace.
  • 3-Mile Trail – A chance to explore more of Watchtree’s woodlands and wetlands.

Both routes are wheelchair, pushchair, and dog-friendly (short leads required).

A Walk for All – With Optional Fundraising

This event is perfect for everyone—whether you’re a keen walker or setting a personal challenge,” said Senga Grave, Events Coordinator. “Fundraising isn’t required, but every penny supports our conservation efforts.

Participants can set up an online fundraising page via watchtree.enthuse.com/profile or request a sponsorship form at events@watchtree.co.uk.

Free Canine Health Checks from Paragon Vets

Dog owners have an extra reason to take part, as Paragon Vets will be offering a free Nurse Clinic for all participating dogs. Their expert team will provide:

  • Dental checks, weight management, and tailored exercise advice.
  • Flea and worm prevention guidance, plus answers to common pet care questions.
  • Insights on the Carbon Pawprint, raising awareness of responsible pet ownership.

Jen Hewitt, Business Operations Lead, and Karen Macdonald, Head Veterinary Nurse at Paragon Vets, said:
We are delighted to be able to attend this event and support those attending with free veterinary nurse advice about pet care.  Here at Paragon the team are very passionate about promoting health and wellbeing and providing preventative treatment and advice to help sustain the longevity of your pets life. We look forward to seeing you all on the evening.
