What is your Volunteering role at Watchtree?
My main role is to provide customer service and cycle repair/maintenance for the visitors and fleet of bikes here at the Reserve.
How often do you help at Watchtree?
I volunteer for ‘Watchtree Wheelers’ every Friday and assist with other roles wherever possible.
What made you Volunteer?
Following my retirement, I wanted to find a role where I could give something back to the Community. After many years working for Innovia Films in a commercial environment, I wanted to do something totally different and preferably where I could have direct contact with people from all walks of life.
What are the benefits of volunteering for you?
I particularly love the interaction with the many visitors and the great staff and volunteers here at the Reserve. It is a fantastic environment where you feel truly valued for your contribution.
Favourite thing about volunteering at watchtree?
The people and the place are what makes Watchtree special to me. The feedback you receive from the visitors, especially from some of the Additional Needs groups is what makes it all worthwhile.
