Watchtree Nature Reserve was delighted to receive a charitable donation from the Carlisle Business Support Network in December 2024, providing vital support for the inclusive cycling initiative, Watchtree Wheelers.
To thank the Network for their £200.00 donation, three members of the networking group were invited to visit Watchtree to explore the Wheelers facilities and learn more about the impactful work being done. Among the visitors were Ian Forth from Utility Warehouse, Andy Steele, an independent therapist, and Bilbo Baggins the dog, who quickly stole the show.
Ian, Andy and Bilbo Baggins were warmly welcomed by some of the team from Watchtree Wheelers and shown around the cycle fleet. The Wheelers team offered insights into Watchtree’s activities, including how the generous donation will enhance Watchtree Wheelers’ mission to provide accessible cycling opportunities for all.
“We are incredibly grateful to Carlisle Business Support Network for their support,” said Wendy, Watchtree Wheelers assistant. “Their contribution will help us continue to break down barriers to cycling, fostering inclusion, health, and wellbeing in our community.”
