The bubbling song of the Curlew returned to Watchtree this week. This coincided with a flurry of bird activity including singing Skylark, 25+ Lapwing (with Golden Plover nearby), large numbers of Snipe and a lovely Oystercatcher. Over 15 Schools visited Watchtree for environmental education in 2014 and this does not include the 100+ students from INSPIRA, 140+ children from the schools orienteering league and the many other ‘youth’ visits!
