The Solway cycle challenge is a virtual event that uses local landmarks to explore the beautiful and varied Solway plain.
This event is open to all abilities from committed cycle enthusiasts to fun family cyclists.
All you need is a bike, a helmet, a fitness tracking app like strava follow you so we know you have been to the locations (There will be a suggested route if you need it)
If you don’t have a tracking app, we want to see your best selfies with the landmarks so you will need your best smiles and a camera phone. (that way we know you have been there and we can see how much fun you are having !)
What have I got to do?
There are two ways you can complete the challenge:
What do I get?
Not only have you had a fantastic day/ days out you also will receive a certificate of participation and one of our fabulous Cycle the Solway medals.
To receive your medal you must have bagged at least 6 landmarks!
How much is it?
£15 Adults
£12 Children
Members will receive a 10% discount using your Watchtree discount code. This is the same code that you use to get discounts on cycle hire and out of hours access to Watchtree.

Watchtree prides itself on being one of the best accessible cycling centres in the North West. However, we are falling short on one aspect; we currently don’t have enough bikes to cater for multiple wheelchair users at one time.
Unfortunately, accessible bikes are often very expensive, which is why Watchtree is commonly relied on as an accessible cycling service. We want to give the same opportunities to those with limited movement, to enjoy the cycling experience with their friends and family.
This is why we need YOU, to help us raise money to purchase the Velo Plus!
From just a £3 membership rate, someone with additional needs can use our bikes for 90 minutes, spending time outdoors having fun and enjoying a bit of nature.
All monies raised from the Solway Cycle Challenge will go towards this amazing piece of equipment and help us continue to provide a fun experience for all of the family.
